#JOANNSTRONG

June 25th, 2020

Ranger Nation,

We have recently been informed that one of our very own, Ms. Joann Clifton, Dining Hall Manager, has been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast and lymph-node cancer. As most of you know, the boys really love Ms. Joann! They have sung her Happy Birthday, walk her dogs around campus, had their parents request some of her recipes, and tell her daily how awesome her food is.

As a family, we all know how dear a family member is, and when illness strikes everyone needs to pull together and support each other. During this very trying and difficult time in her life, she will lose time from work/seeing her boys and incur unexpected medical bills.

In an effort to support this special member of our family, we have designed a special wristband to sell as a fundraiser. All proceeds will go straight to Joann to help offset some of her medical expenses.

Wristbands will be sold at $10 each, or any monetary donation above $10. We would love to see these worn by our cadets, family members, faculty, and staff throughout the year to show love to Ms. Joann!!!

The school has created a Venmo account to make the purchasing of these wristbands and donations easier for everyone. Our username for Venmo is @southernprep-academy.

Exodus 14:14 says “The Lord will fight for you, you need only be still.”
