We had several cadets who were invited to a college football showcase in Birmingham on Saturday, March 5th.
The purpose of the showcase is for college coaches to put athletes through a variety of position specific drills and evaluate them. This gives the colleges in attendance a database of potential recruits so they can keep up with them as they progress through school.
Three of the cadets participated: CDT Mason (9th grade) at Quarterback, CDT Cole (9th grade) at Linebacker, and CDT Bell (8th grade) at Offensive Line.
Each worked directly with college position coaches from the three states represented…Benedict College, Birmingham Southern, Huntingdon, Lagrange, Millsaps, Miles, and Shorter.
