Dixon Foundation graciously donates flight simulator to Southern Prep

October 22nd, 2020

Southern Prep is continuously grateful to the Solon and Martha Dixon Foundation for their continued support of the academy! A brand new, state-of-the-art flight simulator was donated from Auburn University’s flight school to Southern Prep. The simulator is housed on campus at Central Alabama Community College (CACC) in Alexander City, AL. Southern Prep sits directly between Auburn University and CACC.

Solon Dixon was a 1922 graduate of the academy and went on to be the first flight instructor at Auburn University. Thanks to his legacy, the door is now open for Southern Prep to form a lifelong partnership with Auburn and CACC. We can’t say thank you enough to the Dixon Foundation for helping our aviation program.
