In recognition for outstanding achievement and performance of duty, the President of Southern Preparatory Academy, LTC Jared Norrell, approves the presentation of the following awards to the following cadets:
Commandant’s Award: Cadet Tad Orosz
The Commandant’s Award is given to a cadet who consistently demonstrates outstanding leadership for the entire school year.
Foreign Student Award: Cadet Osamah Al-Hubaishi
The Foreign Student Award is presented to the international student that best exemplifies the Academy’s Triad of Excellence in Academics, Leadership, and Athletics. Cadet Al-Hubaishi is from Yi Wu, China.
Outstanding Company Commander’s Award: Cadet James Felker
The Outstanding Company Commander’s Award is award to the cadet who has demonstrated great strength of character and outstanding qualities of leadership in control and handling of a Cadet Company.
NCO of the Year Award: Cadet Ny Dowdell
This award is presented to the top Non-Commissioned Officer for demonstrating outstanding leadership qualities, loyalty to the Academy, dependability, and good citizenship for the entire school year.
New Cadet of the Year Award: Cadet Nathan Harby
This award is presented to a first year cadet who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, academic achievement, and strength of character for the entire school year.
