Dear Ranger Family,
After nine years of dedicated service, LTC Jared Norrell, Southern Prep’s 11th President, has made the decision to resign and pursue new opportunities. We extend our heartfelt appreciation for his visionary leadership, which has brought remarkable growth and development to our Academy.
Under President Norrell’s guidance, Southern Prep has thrived, with the establishment of aviation and drone programs and a significant increase in enrollment. We thank him for his unwavering dedication and passion for our school community.
During this transitional period, we are pleased to announce that Mark Morgan, Academic Dean, will serve as interim President. With his proven track record of effective leadership, Dean Morgan will confidently guide us forward.
The Southern Prep Board of Trustees will initiate a nationwide search for our next President, seeking a leader who embodies innovation, compassion, and commitment to excellence. Together, we will continue providing our students with a high-quality education.
Join us in expressing warm wishes to LTC Jared Norrell as he embarks on his next venture, and in offering our unwavering support to Mark Morgan as interim President. As we begin our 126th school year, we are confident in the continued success of Southern Prep.
