LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS

WE BELIEVE THAT TRUE LEADERSHIP BEGINS WITH THE STRENGTH TO SERVE AND THE COURAGE TO LEAD BY EXAMPLE.

Through the structured environment of our JROTC program and Corps of Cadets, students step into roles of real responsibility that test and temper their character. By navigating the challenges of teamwork and organizational command, they develop the poise, decisiveness, and selfless dedication required to lead others with purpose and heart.

JROTC

A Citizen Development Program Focused on Leadership, Character, and Service

Southern Preparatory Academy’s JROTC program focuses on leadership, character development, and life skills rather than military recruitment. While it offers a strong foundation for those pursuing military careers, the program’s core goal is to build discipline and teamwork applicable to any college or professional path. Students gain the benefits of military-structured values with no service obligation.

JROTC

CORPS OF CADEtS

A voluntary Student-Led military-style organization that was established in the late 1950’s.

Our renowned Corps of Cadets goes beyond academics, shaping young men and women into confident and responsible leaders. Through leadership training, drills, and parades, cadets develop integrity, resilience, and a strong sense of duty.

CORPS

JROTC DISTINCTION

The Ranger Battalion has earned the title of Honor Unit with Distinction, a prestigious honor held by only the top 10% of JROTC programs nationwide. This “Gold Star” status recognizes our cadets for operating at the highest level of excellence and demonstrating exemplary leadership and discipline.

As a result of this elite standing, our Head of School holds direct nominating authority to all three U.S. Service Academies, opening exclusive doors for our cadets’ future careers. We celebrate the dedication of our instructors and the tireless hard work of the entire Battalion in maintaining this standard of excellence.
