Col Corey Ramsby

Col. Corey M. Ramsby is a retired senior leader with 30 years of military service in the United States Air Force (27 years) and United States Space Force (3 years). He is a distinguished graduate of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) at Purdue University, where he commissioned with a degree in electrical engineering in 1994. Over the course of his career, he served in a range of operational and staff assignments spanning communications, cyberspace, special operations, and joint environments, with senior leadership experience supporting major national-security organizations, including the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Air Force Special Operations Command, and Combined Joint Interagency Task Force 435. Col. Ramsby’s command assignments include the 54th Combat Communications Squadron, the 375th Communications Squadron, the 55th Communications Group, and AFROTC Detachment 225 (University of Notre Dame). He deployed multiple times in direct support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, Southern Watch, and Desert Fox. His service has been recognized through numerous decorations, including the Legion of Merit (two awards), the Bronze Star Medal, and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. His final assignment was Commander, AFROTC, headquartered at Maxwell Air Force Base. In that role, he led a nationwide organization responsible for recruiting, developing, and commissioning officer candidates through 145 detachments at more than 1,200 colleges and universities—many of the nation’s leading institutions. Across each assignment, he was consistently recognized for mission-focused leadership, organizational excellence, and developing high-performing teams. He assumed his role as President, Southern Preparatory Academy, in August 2024.
