Nichol Morgan

Parent Coordinator

Nichol Morgan is the Parent Coordinator. She is in her eighth year at Southern Preparatory Academy and her twenty-seventh year in education. Nichol has an Associate of General Studies degree from the American Military University. She served in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard for 8 years as a firefighter. Nichol taught Study Skills, oversaw the EdGenuity Program, and served as a librarian for twenty-three years before transitioning into her current role as the Parent Coordinator.

CAPT Raoul Rall

Commandant of Cadets & Dean of Student Affairs

CAPT Rall brings a deep commitment to student development, academic excellence, and leadership education as Southern Prep continues to strengthen campus life and the overall student experience. CAPT Rall’s professional background is rooted in education, leadership development, and mentoring young people. He previously served as an Adjunct Professor of Aerospace Science with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, teaching high school students in a dual-enrollment environment focused on advanced STEM and aviation studies. His instructional leadership produced outstanding outcomes, including an 82% FAA exam pass rate and multiple students earning their Private Pilot License prior to high school graduation. In recognition of his impact in the classroom, he was named Embry-Riddle Pilot of the Year. He holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Arts in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, along with a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University and early academic training at Marion Military Institute. His academic preparation reflects a strong foundation in analytical thinking, leadership, and student-focused instruction. In addition to his work in education, CAPT Rall brings extensive organizational and leadership experience from a distinguished career in the United States Navy, retiring at the rank of Captain (O-6) after more than 30 years of service. Throughout his career, he led large, complex organizations, managed significant budgets, and prioritized the development, well-being, and accountability of those under his charge. This experience informs his approach to structure, consistency, and mentorship– skills that translate directly to supporting students in a residential and day school environment. As Commandant of Cadets and Dean of Student Affairs, CAPT Rall will oversee student life, leadership programming, student discipline, and mentorship. His focus will be on fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive campus culture that emphasizes personal responsibility, character development, and growth for all students.

Pam Webber

Director of Technology & IT

Pam Webber is the Director of Information Technology at Southern Preparatory Academy. Originally from New Rochelle, NY, Pam holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis (1993) and became a Certified Financial Planner™ in 2012. With over 20 years of experience in IT, her expertise includes computer programming, network analysis, project management, and implementing office infrastructure. Pam joined Southern Prep in 2017. She is married with three children, including two sons who are proud Southern Prep alumni.

Mark Morgan

Director of Facilities/CFO

Mark Morgan serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Facilities at Southern Preparatory Academy, where he has been a dedicated member of the team since 2018. Previously, he served as the Academic Dean, bringing more than 30 years of experience in education and leadership to the role. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Master of Arts from American Military University. A proud veteran, Mr. Morgan served 10 years in the U.S. Army and Pennsylvania National Guard as a maintenance officer, platoon leader, company commander, and battalion staff officer. Throughout his education career, he has served as dorm supervisor, and teacher of math, science, and history, as well as in key administrative roles including Middle School Director, Vice President of Administration and Finance, Business Officer, and Interim Head of School. Mr. Morgan’s extensive experience and steady leadership continue to strengthen the operations and community of Southern Prep.

Blaine Thompson

Dean of Academics

Blaine Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Arts in Education (TESOL) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and recently earned a Master of Divinity from Christ Our Redeemer Seminary. He joined Southern Preparatory Academy in spring 2022 as a teacher and became Academic Dean in the summer of 2025. Mr. Thompson has experience teaching in both public and private schools, including online instruction for international students. He incorporates his global travel experiences into the curriculum, emphasizing culture, ethics, and communication, and helps students develop critical thinking, effective communication, and analytical skills through reading, writing, and presentations.

Becca Nelson

Director of Institutional Advancement

Becca Clegg serves as the Director of Institutional Advancement at Southern Preparatory Academy, where she has been leading marketing efforts since 2019. She also serves as the yearbook advisor and teaches a marketing course. A 2018 graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Becca discovered her passion for the education sector while working with the Office of Academic Support, providing group and individual tutoring through programs like Supplemental Instruction, Study Partners, and Tiger Tutor. She is committed to advancing the school’s mission through her love for writing and content creation. In her spare time, Becca enjoys spending time with her toddler.

Col Corey Ramsby

President

Col. Corey M. Ramsby is a retired senior leader with 30 years of military service in the United States Air Force (27 years) and United States Space Force (3 years). He is a distinguished graduate of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) at Purdue University, where he commissioned with a degree in electrical engineering in 1994. Over the course of his career, he served in a range of operational and staff assignments spanning communications, cyberspace, special operations, and joint environments, with senior leadership experience supporting major national-security organizations, including the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Air Force Special Operations Command, and Combined Joint Interagency Task Force 435. Col. Ramsby’s command assignments include the 54th Combat Communications Squadron, the 375th Communications Squadron, the 55th Communications Group, and AFROTC Detachment 225 (University of Notre Dame). He deployed multiple times in direct support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, Southern Watch, and Desert Fox. His service has been recognized through numerous decorations, including the Legion of Merit (two awards), the Bronze Star Medal, and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. His final assignment was Commander, AFROTC, headquartered at Maxwell Air Force Base. In that role, he led a nationwide organization responsible for recruiting, developing, and commissioning officer candidates through 145 detachments at more than 1,200 colleges and universities—many of the nation’s leading institutions. Across each assignment, he was consistently recognized for mission-focused leadership, organizational excellence, and developing high-performing teams. He assumed his role as President, Southern Preparatory Academy, in August 2024.

Jenifer Isbell

Vice President

Jenifer Isbell is an experienced professional with over seven years of dedicated service in the boarding school education sector. Prior to joining Southern Prep, she worked as a paralegal for nine years, developing strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Additionally, Jenifer spent several years in staffing coordinator roles, gaining valuable human resources experience that has strengthened her ability to manage personnel, foster a positive work environment, and support organizational growth. She began her career at Southern Prep in the Admissions Department, where she gained insights into the school’s operations and student engagement. Her passion for education and leadership has guided her growth within the organization, and she currently serves as Vice President. Throughout her career, Jenifer has demonstrated a strong commitment to enhancing the student experience and supporting the school’s mission.
