Development (Giving) for Southern Preparatory Academy is critical in order to further implement the mission and vision for the academy. The generosity of alumni, friends, and family members continues to allow cadets from across the world the opportunity to earn a world-class education as well as learn the skills to be successful throughout life.
The foundation of Southern Prep was achieved through philanthropic giving in the late 1800’s, just as it is now. Dr. Lyman Ward met with donors from across the country in order to obtain the necessary funding for the Southern Industrial Institute, now Southern Preparatory Academy. The core values of the academy have not changed. We are now called to continue building upon the mission that emerged over 100 years ago and has changed the lives of thousands of men and women over the last century.
As a donor to Southern Prep, there are numerous benefits and opportunities. Southern Prep is a certified 501(c)3 organization; therefore, all donations to the academy are 100% tax deductible. In addition, there are naming opportunities so that your legacy or that of a friend or family member will live on at the academy. Your donation to the academy will be used as scholarships for cadets, academic materials, and campus improvements. You know the value of a Southern Prep education and its positive impact on cadets.
