We are ecstatic to introduce our new Dean of Academics, Dr. Sonya Ladner. Dr. Ladner is a proud native of St. Louis, MO. She has over 26 years of qualified combined experience in mentorship, leadership, instructional leadership, multicultural awareness, curriculum, and teaching.
Dr. Ladner began her career in 1996, teaching English to English Language Learners from Kuwait, Germany, Africa, South Korea, and Latin America. In addition, she participated and contributed to research for the RAND group. Dr. Ladner earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Paul Quinn College in 1996. She graduated summa cum laude from Cambridge College, where she majored in Education. Dr. Ladner earned her Doctoral degree from Northcentral University, where she specialized in curriculum and teaching.
She is truly a lifelong learner; she decided to go back to school and receive a Post Doctoral Degree in Instructional Leadership. Dr. Ladner is married to Army COL (RET) Joseph Ladner, and they have one daughter, Samia, currently serving as a 2LT. in the U.S. Army.
